Set The Right DNS Settings. Go back to the Control Panel, and search for the Network and Sharing Center. Once you’re there, find the “Network connections” option and click on it. Now select the network you are connected to. A new smaller window will appear.
A solution was to enable "software mouse" which is a setting in the game which will make the mouse move with each frame of the game. This kept the mouse within the game, but with a variable frame rate, which was clunky at best. Overall solution: Run the game on Windows. I did this by installing Parallels Technical Preview for M1 MacOS.
Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, note them down for reference and remove them from the window. Click OK and select Use the following DNS server addresses - for IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4. Click on Advanced settings and specify the alternate DNS server addresses and then close it.
As you know there is currently a bug present in League of Legends in which the client does not ask for microphone access and one cannot use microphone in voice chat, etc. There are some guides present but unfortunately they do not work for macOS 12 as the command used in those guides does not work anymore.
Step 1. Right-click the shortcut of League of Legends on the desktop and select Properties. Step 2. Go to the Compatibility tab and select the checkbox for Run this program as an administrator. Step 3. Select the checkbox for Disable full-screen optimizations, and then click OK and Apply to save the changes.

Hey man, I am playing on a 2020 MacBook Air m1, which is only a couple of months old. League worked perfectly the first couple of weeks until I encountered the same problem as you. I fixed the problem by completing a minor software update (from 11.4.4 to 11.5.2 I think). I now have the problem again, as I can neither reinstall or open the game
